A Bitcoin block hash just decided whether to strand two guys in orbit over a satellite full of platinum
There's a game called DoubleBust where two AI characters get into absurd situations and you bet sats on who's right. The outcome is decided by a Bitcoin block hash -- HMAC-SHA256 of the episode seed + block hash, provably fair, you can verify every result yourself.
Episode 12 just went live: "The Orbital Deposit"
Double bought a defunct satellite at a billionaire's estate sale for 0.8 BTC, thinking the onboard platinum is worth 40x. They hired a freelance cosmonaut, they're 247km above Earth with 11 minutes of oxygen, and the pilot wants to burn the reentry fuel to reach a satellite spinning at 3 RPM. Ground control went silent.
Double: "We already paid for the ride AND the satellite. Leaving now is like walking out of a restaurant after ordering. Except the restaurant is space and the steak is platinum."
Bust: "He wants to spend our ride home on a spinning hunk of metal that a dead billionaire's intern mispriced. We have eleven minutes of oxygen and the guy flying this thing learned English from action movies."
Lightning only, 100 sat minimum, 1% fee. No email, no passwords, no KYC.
12 episodes so far, score is Double 5 - Bust 6. Curious what you all think of the concept.
