A strong signal ?
I've been interested and following since around mtgox? But this isn't about me, this is about my son. He's currently 18, previously he's know about bitcoin ( because of my interest in it) but he has had absolutely no interest despite being very much into computers/programming technology. Even when his $5 worth in a old mycelium wallet went up over £100 he still wasn't interested and nor were his friends. (It's currently well over £200 lol)
That has changed quite recently, he has a friend who mines Eth now, another one of his old friends has a load of coins I've never heard off, but and I think this is the most important thing, earlier today he was on his phone and he was laughing and asked if I wanted to see something a friend had sent him, it was like a hodl meme but a anti hodl meme ? The joke was on how dumb the hodl mentality is. Now I wish they were more interested in using crypto as a currency but unfortunately they aren't, it's still mostly seen as a way to make £ but this anti hodl sentiment from the generation that is coming in is I think the first signs that blockstreams "we are the only real crypto", "we are digital gold"," just what ever you do don't sell" plan, "hodl", is going to start to run into trouble. They don't give a fuck if BTC is the "original", they think just buying to hodl is dumb as fuck. Blockstreams power is slipping and it's been blockstreams power and their army of hodl'ers constantly attacking BCH that has kept BCH down, as their influence fades, BCH will rise.
