Am I doing the right thing?(BTC)

I am new to Bitcoin so I don’t have much in at all. About $250 worth now, so I feel silly even talking about it. My thing is I’d like to get more into it but I guess, like everybody else, I don’t want to throw in and then find out that I couldn’t have picked a worse time to get into it. I know a lot of you have been in it for a while and you may even get questions like this a lot. But, is it even worth getting started at this point? Am I showing up to the game too late? I know it has come a long way since Bitcoin was first created but I don’t have a Time Machine to go back and buy any. So here I am. I’m accepting friendly advice and tips. Even if that advice is to back out and not even try at this point. Thanks Friends.
