Anyone else feel weird vibes about blockstream? Like they are the “Hooli” of crypto, and the CEO is Gavin Belson.

I was reading about BTC history and came across this company called blockstream which isnt really in the media and nobody really talks about them, even though it seems like they control BTC development. The vibes i get from them is weird , like some try-hard money making faceless corporation. Why isnt this company in the spotlight more? Or are they irrelevant ?
