August 1, 2017 is Bitcoin's Independence Day, not BCH's birthday. BCH's birthday is Jan 3, 2009.
The first BCH block was mined Jan 3, 2009. Proof.
August 1, 2017 is not BCH's birthday, but rather the date that the Bitcoin project gained independence from the Blockstream takeover.
Therefore August 1 should rightly be celebrated as Bitcoin's Independence Day. Calling it "BCH's Birthday" feels like disinformation, when placed in this context.
