Big Hugs to the Anonymous Redditor that gifted me 0.05 BTC today, unexpectedly, to help with medical costs
I got injured the other day, and certain I tore my ligaments in my knee again (3x). I am in a foreign country as an uninsured US-Native. I reached out to r/digitalnomads asking for suggestions on which country could be cheapest, fastest route to at least get an MRI by a specialist, and knee surgery (If necessary) I received a multitude of great advice, about France, of all places.
I notice a private message from someone that related to my situation, and also noticed my reddit profile shows interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain. they asked me for a BTC address, there was no questions, straight to the point, they were modest, and happy to send me a surprising amount of BTC to help with my forthcoming out-of-pocket costs I will have to face to get back on my feet in the coming months.
This was my first experience of such generosity revolving around what BTC has done and can do for our people. I read about awesome charitable donations from individuals and from the pineapple fund from a few years back. The picture is becoming clearer and clearer, BTC and other prevalent ecosystems have proven to make dramatic renovation to our broken global economy, and its fascinating to see and hear about how it has changed so many lives for the better; revolutionizing democracies, educating full villages, and putting the power back in our own hands.
Thank you and God Bless to the community.
Big Hugs to everyone
