Bitcoin as an investment?

This is not a shit-post, and I dont want hopium, copium, or deranged speculation.

Is BTC a good long term investment strategy? Versus index funds / 401k / stocks / bonds / precious metals? Everything I read everywhere says it consistently outperforms these other entities - but why does it still seem so fresh?

Even with last year's ATH - and all the rampant news about crypto legislation and mass adoption - I still cant jump in with both feet.

Idk I guess Im just looking for more of a conversation on this/these topics with real people, versus google or AI

Thoughts? Advice? Anything I guess, lol....
