"Bitcoin Cash is the Bitcoin to BTC's gold"
I've been trying to come up with a way to succinctly state what it is that BCH is really all about. We need a punchy catchphrase that explains that BTC isn't the Bitcoin that made crypto what it is today - - that version of Bitcoin is now BCH.
Saying "BCH is the real Bitcoin" doesn't work, it's gotten us nothing but hate and confusion in the community.
I was thinking about Litecoin and its stupid slogan "LTC is the silver to Bitcoin's gold" and this new slogan occurred to me. I think it's funny and catchy and says what we want it to say, but in a way that maybe isn't as offensive and will cause people to ask what it means and make people think differently about BCH.
And of course what it means is obvious to all of us. BTC ceased to be the same Bitcoin that got us where we are today. BTC started out as a hard money currency - - like gold that you can teleport almost anywhere almost instantly almost for free - - so it isn't just a store of value, but also a medium of exchange.
When BTC decided to drop the medium of exchange facility, it became no better than regular gold. Worse, in many ways, since at least real gold has real world utility and thousands of years of history as a value store. Real gold is also tangible - you can never lose your real gold because you forgot a seed word.
No, by dumbing down Bitcoin to be just a store of value, BTC lost the plot entirely. But BCH kept the vision going: a hard money digital currency that has the scarcity of gold, but is nearly free and instant to transact. Whereas BTC is now "just like gold," BCH is "still Bitcoin."
BCH is the Bitcoin to BTC's gold.
