Bitcoin Cash is the Bitcoin where every transaction is equal
Recently a BTC fan who chose to debate me tried to defend BTC's reliance for scaling on the very un-Bitcoin-like Lightning Network (which is not even fully non-custodial by design (!!)) by saying, and I quote, "You really want every transaction to be „equal“ in that they all show up on the same ledger that every node tracks?"
Is this the new pro-BTC talking point? If so, it is extraordinarily foolish -- so foolish, in fact, that it presents a golden opportunity for BCH to seize the high ground in that analogy. Because guess what Bitcoin Cash actually is... that's right, Bitcoin Cash is the Bitcoin where every transaction is equal. They all owe their security to the same miners working the same ledger, which gets expanded in capacity without fear or favour, unlike BTC which has allowed itself to become reserved by an exorbitant fee market into a transactional playground for the rich. This is the new money. Why the hell would you settle for anything less than every transaction being equal in the eyes of the ledger?
