Bitcoin Cash Scaling for Countries
Hello r/btc,
I was recently looking into scaling and noticed that the storage has gone really down, 10TB is around $260 on amazon. But my question is would this be enough to have a fully decentralized network if Bitcoin Cash starts to become used by millions of people every day?
If we see what's happening in St. Marteen there are over 70k people on that island, that could easily lead to 70k - 400k transactions a day. Which is easy to scale, but what if countries like lebanon who has a population of 6.8 million people? That could be 7 to 21 million transactions a day which could lead to several gigabytes being added to the chain daily.
We all see what's going on with BSV, they have a chain of 4 TB but only 12 nodes running the network.
