Bitcoin.com wallet not updating balance?

I was just showing the manager at my local sushi place (that already accepts bch through menufy for takeout) how bch works.

I had her download the bitcoin.com wallet, I sent her a couple dollars, the transaction was detected and showed up in the app right away but it didn't update her balance at the top. When she tried to send it back to me, it said not enough funds.

She had to close the app and open it again before it showed at the top and could send. I'm assuming bitcoin.com is not waiting for a confirmation before we can resend or anything like that, right? Has anyone else experienced this? I assume it's a bug.
