BTC Core Devs

Anyone else get the sense that some - not all - of the BTC Core Devs are using Bitcoin as a means to burnish their own reputations instead of serving as faithful stewards of the Bitcoin Core software code?

There seem to be just a few in particular who are so pompous and thin skinned that any criticism or questioning of their work results in immediate backlash. No discussion is allowed.

In full disclosure I was banned from the Bitcoin sub recently by one of them for merely theorizing about the second order effects of new Bitcoin developments.
