BTC ETF and GAAP accounting

Hey guys,

We know that BTC on the balance sheet of companies falls under the category of intangible assets under GAAP accounting. This prevents many companies from buying BTC because they have to mark it at the worst price.

Question ❓: If you instead buy the BTC ETF on your balance sheet, does that change anything?
