Can someone explain to me how BCH can scale if adoption ever exceeds 32x BTC's current adoption?
Hello! I'm relatively new here, and I think the goal of reducing fees like those of BTC is vital if we are ever to have a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency. BCH is an interesting alternative to address this problem, and I'm very tempted to buy.
However, as I've been researching how BCH works, it seems like the main solution it provides is increasing the block size to 32MB (compared to BTC's 1MB).
It obviously works pretty well for BCH currently, but if crypto takes off in a mainstream, household way - and if people are truly using it for daily transactions rather than as a store of value - we should expect far more than 32x the current frequency of BTC transactions eventually.
How will this scalability issue be addressed with BCH? Don't we need a fundamentally different sort of technology to address this, or do we risk just kicking the can down the road? Or am I misunderstanding something?
Thanks!
