Cashing Out

This has probably been answered in the past and hopefully it’s not too redundant of a question, but I am wondering what other holders do to convert their bitcoin back to fiat when necessary. Moving assets to a centralized exchanges like Coinbase terrifies me because they freeze accounts routinely. What do you use as an alternative? What’s your favorite process? Do you favor that process for any amount, or do you use different methods depending on the value of the transaction? Can your process be used from anywhere including the United States?
