China Digital Currency Exchange "ATMEX" and the Crypto Currency AIC?

I have been seeing a friend of mine using ATMEX as a BTC exchange platform. It is a China based company. I am worried that this is not what it seems? It has BTC, ETH,BCC,USDT and AIC. I am reluctant to use this trading platform bit I am told there is no other app or , I am not aware of any other app that you can swap USDT or BTC for AIC. Anyone know if any of these names sound familiar or have been used by Reddit family? I did a Google search on ATMEX and it does not come up as a trading platform, just a Mexican Travel Site. My friend from Hong Kong now lives here in Washington and on his laptop/screenshot there is 10-20 articles on ATMEX all of course written in Chinese so I cannot make out what the article's say but they are clearly there. Maybe this is China Google? Can a person even get on China Google from U.S. Just do not want to start trading on a platform that is not well known but I cannot deny the gains he is making daily, weekly and monthly. Any support from Reddit readers will help. Also has anyone traded AIC before?
