Decentralized exchanges for dummies

I’m in the US. With the upcoming tax changes I’d like to learn more about DEXs such as Bisq and Hodl Hodl.

I have heard about them but never took the leap. What are some trusted resources to learn about those in 2024?

Some of the info on them is dated. Any info or resources would be appreciated. Thx
