Does Chaintip only work on the r/btc reddit group ?

I tried to tip someone on the ZCASH reddit group with chaintip but it does not appear to work there .

if I type "u/chaintip" ( without the quotes ) on the r/btc group it turns green , which i take to means it understands what it is , However if I do the same on a different Reddit group it does not .

so my questions is does "u/chaintip" only work on r/btc ? And if so how do we get another Reddit groups to use it ? I always thought "u/chaintip" was a built-in Reddit feature accessible to every reddit user/group .
