Does the bitcoin.com wallet app work in Venezuela?

I'm trying to pay someone I hired through venezuelaworkers.com, and requested that they download this app so that I can send the funds directly to their wallet, but they informed me that it is not accessible in Venezuela. Does anyone know if this is true?
