Gaze.cash - video monetization platform - dev update 5

Gaze.cash - video monetization platform - also bad for the environment.

previous update: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/ms8vgg/gazecash_video_monetization_platform_flipstarter/

Since the previous update I made improvements to the channel functionality, also allowing editing/deleting of videos and users can now watch their own videos for free. Also finished the styling across all the pages of the website. There are still some room for improvement but overall it should be looking acceptable.

Most of my time however has been spent on trying to market gaze with very little success unfortunately, I figured I should try and get a reasonable amount of content hosted on gaze.cash before trying to attract viewers, Firstly I searched for a lot of small youtubers that look promising and have less than 1K subscribers, then sent them all semi personalized emails, this was quite a bit of effort. replies received: zero. Then after giving it some more thought I came up with the idea of starting of by focusing on a certain niche of content that might be a good fit. I ended up going with "2D animations". Animations like these generally take the artist quite long to make and a lot of really good quality/entertaining ones get lost on youtube since the youtube algorithm seems to favor weekly uploaders over people that only upload once every couple of months, So I searched and found various communities on reddit and discord where these artists hang out, I once again created personalized messages for every artist I found that creates good quality content but struggles to gain much following on youtube, And there's a lot of them, some of these people make amazing things only for it to stay in obscurity. For all the messages I sent... I got 1 reply. 1 reply from an artist that replied to me only to let me know that crypto currency "harms the environment". I wrote a small article on read.cash after which 1 Chinese dude created a channel and uploaded some random Chinese copy pasted videos. I was happy someone made a channel. Marketing is purgatory.

Of course I have no experience marketing anything, this was my first foray into trying to market something, If someone here has some insights or ideas to share with me that would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking of perhaps using paid for advertising like google ads but I'm not sure how effective that can be for gaze, perhaps I should find a marketing agency? gaze.cash is developed solely by me and I pay all costs out of pocket, I can afford to spend a little on marketing but not much, So I want to market it myself as much as possible.

There's still the flipstarter: http://flipstarter.gaze.cash/ If this flipstarter were to be successful essentially all of it would go towards attracting content creators one way or another, but I'm going to continue development and marketing of gaze.cash regardless.
