George Donnely was treated unfairly.

To begin, I would like to prove that this post is as impartial as it gets and not based on some personal opinion/ personal feelings about the person in question, but truth and objectivity.

Me and George don't get along with each other, we're not friends, I am not one of his team.

Evidence:

And if you care to know my opinion, I think he's an entitled, egotistical, manchild who doesn't know how to cooperate with others and an extremely annoying individual to deal with.

So now that we got the "this post is here to damage control" out of the way let's get to the situation.

The situation and drama that eventually resulted to Goerge leaving both r/btc and r/bitcoincash started with this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/rjpcba/george_donnely_promoted_a_scam_against_the/

I initially believed this post myself because as a biased individual towards Goerge, I didn't find it impossible for him to promote a scam unknowingly and even insist he is right.

Skipping his crappy behavior in dealing with the situation and the "you are all my enemies" drama, George took responsibility for his mistake.

Evidence:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SmartBCH_DeFi/comments/rlnxi4/1000_bounty_for_tokenbridgecash_stuck_funds/

He started a bounty to get the funds of the person who got scammed in question and is actively trying to fix his mistake.

Despite leaving the community, despite how he doesn't like anyone, despite how nobody believed in him, he's still trying to fix it.

If you go look at his post history he proved he never actively promoted it but was only part of it (which is dumb of him) and he was witch hunted, ganged on, and suffered character assassination.

The only ones from this sub who attempted to wake up George and give him constructive criticism was u/ShadowOfHarbringer/ and u/jessquit in all these posts and drama.

The rest of people there seemed to be pretty biased, attacking George's integrity directly which was never in question (his personality and behavior were and still are) ignoring his point, and emphasizing on his bad parts. Namely his rudeness, anger, and entitlement.

Sorry but that's not fairness, that's gaslighting and witch hunting, and many of you give him a good reason to believe he's being attacked and ganged on on purpose.

Their interaction seemed to offend George and because of it he seems to have left both r/btc and r/bitcoincash see here:

https://www.reddit.com/user/georgedonnelly/comments/rkq1v5/i_have_left_rbtc_and_rbitcoincash/

I initially thought he was throwing a fit for attention or for pity, but now I don't think that's the case.

Because even after he left the community he continued working to fix his mistake and get the user's funds unstuck, paying from his own pocket no less. And made no attempts to communicate with anyone about it, he simply changed communities.

So, this is just my personal opinion and I have no concrete evidence so you can dismiss it as such.

I don't think george is a scammer, I don't think he promotes scammers. I think he genuinely wants the best for BCH and he's a honest man despite his crappy personality.

So my question is.

Are we going to dismiss the honest efforts of a man just because we dislike him? Are we going to stain his career and cause him mental strain just because he's a dick? Is that the best we can amount to as people who were entrusted with satoshi's dream? This?

That's all, I am humbly ask from anyone who's reading this to think past their personal grudges or opinions.
