Help please, 20BCH stuck in limbo on local.bitcoin.com
I'll start by sending my regards to the team at bitcoin.com who have made a great service to help economic freedom around the world, maybe their support team is already stretched at the moment, for a week there has been very little effort on their part to help but maybe they will get back to me soon, I don't know. In the mean time, I'm appealing to any one else with knowledge of how the escrow works at local.bitcoin.com
So about 9 days ago I had a trade initiated on local.bitcoin.com the trade was with someone wanting to buy approx 19.8bch (15,000 NZD worth at that time) from me. I put the BCH into escrow to initiate the trade here's that tx:
0838b489069105f00ed811b2f25d9a8c148f624f6572f44859e9890d31a45052
That trade went sour when it became clear the buyer had sent me a fraudulent video of him sending the money and he started pressuring me to release the escrow without my seeing funds arrive. I disputed the payment and an arbitrator came in and agreed with me.
Here's where things got weird, my balance in my online local.bitcoin.com wallet returned back up to it's original 21BCH so I tried to withdraw most of that (19 BCH) thinking I would just keep to smaller less risky trades from then on, but a TX was never broadcast even though the wallet reduced my balance by 19.8BCH .
My wallet still says pending 19BCH withdrawal, but I now know this will never happen because if you look at the above TX the 19.8 BCH has not left the escrow address!
BUT I was able to withdraw the approx 1.1 BCH that was left, including the 0.2 BCH trade fee that was refunded from the trade!
Is this BCH burned now?
