I Finally Get It

I've been interested and learning about Bitcoin for the last few months now and so far I have been able to grasp an understanding of the technology, the need for it in our fiat world, and it's upside potential, but I just had a Eureka moment. It finally all came together for me and hit me like a bolt of lighting today when I was able to set up and run a full node, connect it to a sparrow wallet, and run my hardware device through the sparrow wallet to receive and send Bitcoin. At the moment I realized the power that Bitcoin held. I was actually able to be my own bank, and take control of my own finances without having to ask anyone for permission to send or receive anything. I knew this was possible before but the weight of this fact didn't hit me until I actually did it myself, and saw the transaction go through with my own eyes.
