Idea to accelerate BCH adoption
I love seeing posts about new merchants accepting BCH, but it's only useful if people have BCH to spend at these places. I was thinking it would be a good idea to start using chaintip to tip in country/state specific subreddits where adoption is accelerating. If I see people accept the tips I can follow up with some links to sites like https://map.bitcoin.com to show them where to spend it.
I love the tipping culture in this sub and in /r/bitcoincash , but we're kind of preaching to the choir here. Tipping is always great but if the goal is to increase adoption and awareness it makes more sense to me to target other subs.
I know some bigger subs ban bots like chaintip, so although there might be less exposure on a smaller subs, it might have an overall more powerful effect.
Which countries should I target? Which areas are having the most rapid adoption? I see Queensland being mentioned a lot, anywhere else?
I'd be curious to give this a test run and could report back on my results.
Does anyone know an optimal tipping amount which will get users to actually accept it? I'd like the tips to be as small as possible to reach the most users (I can't do that much unfortunately) but also don't want them to be too low so they don't bother setting up a wallet to accept it.
Thanks!
