Is BCH transactions viable for day-to-day life?

Hi,I would like to know is BCH transaction viable for day-to-day life i.e. how long does an average bch transaction take to get confirmed ? like 1 or 2 minute?since if i pay via some centralized wallet it is sent within seconds and lightning network take few seconds.

so does bch transactions can also take a couple of seconds to be confirmed (not talking about merits-demerits.) ? If yes, how?Are there any proposal for nearly instant transaction (like a couple of seconds) confirmation like lightning, on BCH ?

How long does it take to mine every block on BCH ?
