is investment in bitcoin in a country that BANNED it safe?

i have been thinking of investment in BTC for a long time and i think its time since its price is declining now but i just knew that crypto currency is banned in Egypt and now idk what to do, is it safe to invest or iam getting my ass in jail the sec i buy some BTCand BTW thats my first time investing in crypto so any advises will be appreciated

edit: i know it sounds like a stupid question but i really dont know its normal to do even if its banned in my country or not
