Is it more important for Bitcoin to succeed or decentralized crypto to succeed?

I had this debate on /r/bitcoin, which led to my banning. My position is that what's most important is for decentralized crypto succeed. If some decentralized crypto other than BCH becomes the dominant player and displaces fiat as the preferred currency, then our goal was achieved.

I don't "invest" in crypto. I buy and spend as needed. If this new Chia becomes strong enough to threaten fiat, then more power to Chia. You're following Satoshi's vision.

It would be great if BCH succeeded and became the dominant crypto. But my personal vision for crypto doesn't require that BCH be the dominant player. It just requires some decentralized crypto that no one controls becomes the dominant player. I welcome all new cryptos and want to see what they bring to the table. It's not like Satoshi's idea can't be improved upon.
