Is the migrator function on Mistswap a risk? Why hasn't it been removed with a new version?

This is a continued discussion of this comment regarding the migrator function in Mistswap and the associated risks.

Community replies to this have been "if they wanted to rugpull they would have already" and "Uniswap v2 has the migrator function too". Which is concerning, because removing the trusted entity is what we are all (i hope) trying to achieve here.

If the Mistswap team or someone associated can explain why the migrator function remains? Are there plans to remove it, and if so when? If it's not a risk and should remain, please explain as best you can. Thanks!
