I’ve run my crypto-focused store Keys4Coins for more than a decade. Now I’m looking for the right person to continue it
Hi r/btc,
It’s been quite a while since I posted an update here, so first of all, happy (albeit late) new year.
I’ve been thinking about what I want to focus on going forward, and after some time, I’ve realized that I want to put more of my time into my other projects, especially CryptoWoo. I want to genuinely thank everyone here who has supported my work over the years, whether by using Keys4Coins, using CryptoWoo, supporting our Flipstarter, or simply providing your feedback to us.
Keys4Coins.com was the first crypto-related project that I started all the way back in 2014. At the time, it was one of the first digital game and gift card stores where you could pay with Bitcoin instantly and had a crypto-only approach, which was quite unheard of. The goal was a simple service that was privacy-friendly and only required an email address to receive your code. In the early years, it grew rapidly, and we were among the first to support Bitcoin Cash during the block size war. Rapid delivery of products was something important to our customers. So when Zeroconf was something we could implement, it became a priority. It is still supported with BCH today. Over time, we also added Dogecoin, Ethereum, Dash, Monero, and more. Bitcoin.com even integrated us into their wallet. In recent times, Monero has often become one of our most used currencies, which really shows how much users value privacy.
Over the last few years, my time has been stretched thin with other projects, health, and life in general. It has caused Keys4Coins to not get enough attention or the time that it truly deserves. A lot of my focus became directed with CryptoWoo when I took over the project, as its broader impact on helping merchants to crypto in a truly peer-to-peer fashion truly resonates with me
After a lot of internal thought and discussion with close friends and family, I’ve realized that it is the right time to pass Keys4Coins on to someone who has the available time and passion to continue growing it with its original vision and goals in mind. By passing the torch for someone else to continue it will give me some much-needed free time to focus on other projects, new ideas, and just day-to-day life.
I have always attempted to run my businesses with honesty and transparency, and Keys4Coins has been no exception to this. Keys4Coins has always been a community-driven project at its core, which is why I would like to seek the advice and guidance from within the communities that have been so pivotal in the development of the project.
I will be clear that I’m not just looking for a quick sale. I really want this to go to the right person, with the right intentions to do the project justice.
For those who don’t know what CryptoWoo is or why it’s so important to me: it started as a way to enable direct peer-to-peer, automated crypto payments from users to merchants. I began contributing to the project originally as just a user, and eventually bought the company to continue developing it to what it is today. Today, it has achieved over 500 active installations, and we’ve significantly improved its performance, security, and features. Widespread peer-to-peer crypto adoption while still respecting user privacy has always been one of my core goals, and that’s why I care so much about this project.

Do you know anyone who might be interested in buying Keys4Coins and continuing its legacy?
I'd be interested to hear the community's input on this and would welcome questions people may have.
