Just moved from exchange custody to self-custody - feels amazing

I’ve had my BTC sitting on an exchange for years, and only recently found out they don’t actually hold my coins directly they use a custodial broker. That was the breaking point for me.

Did a ton of research into self-custody and ended up going with the Trezor Safe 3. Super excited for it to arrive can’t wait to finally move everything into cold storage. It just feels right knowing I’ll actually hold my own keys and not rely on some middleman.

Curious, how many of you made the jump from exchange custody to hardware wallets, and what was the turning point for you?

PS. Thank you to everyone in this subreddit that helped convince me to make this change I feel like it's the right play long term.
