Make Your Bitcoin Untraceable

People keep saying that the simplest way to get clean BTC is to convert it to Monero and then convert it back later. Before I commit to doing this, I want to hear from people who’ve actually tried it.

Does the BTC to XMR to BTC method genuinely remove all traceability, or are there hidden risks that beginners don’t know about?

If anyone here has done this strictly for privacy reasons, please share your experience.
