Mining Bitcoin with solar

I have a 14kw solar array. In winter I use it to heat 8000L of water stored under ground. which I pump around the house to heat it. I still have a large excess of power. I want to use the excess power to mine Bitcoin specially in the summer. Everywhere I read says you need to mine 23/7 to make it worth while? Is this the case what options are there to only mine during daylight hours?
