My response to someone telling me BTC and BCH are in the same league.

First off look at total network hash rate.

BTC and ETH are absolute monsters. Literal whales.

Higher hash rate = higher blockchain security

If you had 10,000-10,000,000 US Dollars to put into crypto, you wouldn’t put that entire amount into Bitcoin Cash.

BTC hash rate is ~175 Exahashes per second. BCH hashrate is ~1.5 exahash/s.

To put that into perspective, one exahash = 1 quintillion hashes per second. I could go on to compare that to how much a single average ASIC runs.

1.5 / 175 = ~ 0.009 Ratio of BCH hash rate to BTC hash rate

$433 / $48,000 = ~ 0.009 Ratio of BCH USD price to BTC USD price.

See any similarities between the two? Bitcoin Cash is the equivalent to a single pimple on a 6’8”, 270 pound male. A barnacle on a whale.

The Bitcoin network is an entire galaxy, including solar systems, including ours with a Sun. BCH is maybe as bright as the North Star.

It’s completely possible to 51% attack Bitcoin Cash when you consider what I’ve stated above.

Even with minor damage or fallout, it is still a considerable risk.

I propose this again: If you had 10,000-10,000,000 US Dollars to put into crypto, would you put that entire amount into Bitcoin Cash?

The idiots in this sub that say there’s no such thing as “Store of Value” are just that, idiots. And now they are posting that the only goal of Bitcoin Cash should be to replace fiat. ???

Anyone on this post that is coherent agrees that Crypto evolves and can serve many purposes. Tokenization, smart contracts, etc. Sooo… Bitcoin has evolved to a store of value. And?? That’s what real players use it as. (imagine something evolving?)

Bitcoin Cash… is only cash. It is fine for transacting small amounts, as many coins are. Litecoin has more pairing on exchanges. Litecoin is just as fast. Smaller network hash rate, but still in the same “league” as far as being able to be 51% attacked.

Ravencoin is a Bitcoin soft-fork with tokenization and more business connections than stickers on peoples’ shops in Venezuela.

So, there’s just a snippet of why BCH is not in the same league as BTC and ETH.
