Not panicking yet, but confused and need some help regarding NFTs and the Bitcoin.com wallet
Last night I minted an NFT.. If you follow that link you'll see that, as of now, I didn't get any answers.
I woke up today to check, and after 26 confirmations, the SLP Explorer still doesn't display the image associated with the NFT (just the link to the image).
I decided to test something so I sent the NFT to my Bitcoin.com wallet.
My Bitcoin.com wallet received the NFT, but it doesn't show up in my assets at all. It only shows BCH and the few non-NFT SLP tokens that were already there. The NFT also doesn't show up when I click the send button. Again only BCH and non-NFT SLP tokens are sendable.
Obviously this answers my question about the Bitcoin.com wallet. No it's not compatible with NFTs. But it must still be there on the wallet according to the blockchain, right?
So now my question is this: Can I use my Bitcoin.com mnemonic to import the wallet onto Electron Cash SLP to save this NFT? And how would I do that? Or is it lost?
Edit: Now I am thinking it is lost forever. Apparently Electron Cash SLP doesn't support sweeping! Is there a way for me to just burn this NFT so I can mint another? It's supposed to be a 1 of 1.
Edit: I figured it out! Thanks to everyone who tried to help. Maybe the answers weren't served to me on a golden platter but trying your suggestions were part of the process of me fixing this issue.
The solution:
Indeed, it IS possible to import your Bitcoin.com wallet via mnemonic. Unfortunately the UI of Electron Cash SLP and the need for knowledge of derivation paths are hurdles in the way of doing this. I had to find someone else's reddit post complaining about Bitcoin.com's usage of BTC's derivation path to figure out what derivation path is needed to do the import. I've decided to minimalize my use of Bitcoin.com's wallet and just use Electron cash as a result. I don't need a dumbed-down, Apple product to manage my cryptocurrencies. So here's the process:
Get your mnemonic from your Bitcoin.com wallet (obviously).
In Electron Cash SLP, click "File".
In the File submenu, click "New/Restore".
Give your new wallet a name.
Click "Next".
DO NOT select "Import Bitcoin Cash addresses or private keys"!! Instead, choose "Standard wallet".
After choosing "Standard wallet", click "Next".
Choose "I already have a seed"
Click "Next".
Enter your 12-word mnemonic and then double and triple-check it for accuracy.
Click "Next".
For the derivation path, leave it as-is but change the "245" to 0. Or you can delete the provided path and enter " m/44'/0'/0' " without double-quotes or spaces. This is BTC's derivation path that Bitcoin.com's wallet uses for... reasons.
Click "Next".
And that should be it!
Thanks again to everyone who helped and tried to help. I'm glad this is behind me and I learned a few things as a result. Also the NFT has been saved!
