Price does affect IMHO
I have this dilemma with BCH. I understand the P2P money narrative and I fully agree that BCH is 100x better than BTC for daily (aka small) payments. But here's the thing. In order to pay in BCH you need to hold BCH in the first place. And the BCH price has been going down. Yes, I know the same is happening to BTC (we're in a bear market after all, aren't we?), but BCH is dropping faster, in other words the BCH/BTC rate is going down (if we are not in the ATL in BCH/BTC, we're close!).
So essentially that's the dilemma: I want to use BCH but it's painful to hold BCH, so in the end I'm not using BCH as much as I'd like to. It looks like a vicious circle. Is there any way out of this? I understand most people believe that the solution is to keep adding stores and improving merchant support and the market will do the rest, but I'm not entirely sure about this.
I'd like to hear your thoughts.
