r/bitcoin shady tactics

I originally postet this thread in /r/CryptoCurrency but it got removed with the reasoning that I should not link to it (like was and NP link) and even threatened that I should be banned. So I post it here, because I want the info as reference.

The r/bitcoin rules clearly state: No talk about other coins other than BTC. But you are still allowed to shit on them.

After this thread was posted today, many felt compelled to add their weight to the discussion. Soon it looked like OP opposing post where in the majority. But then the thread went down for several hours.

This would be fine with the rules, but here is where the shady stuff starts. They clear the thread (not many posts this time) and ban everyone who does not support the "right side". After that the thread went online again and now the not banned side can post with impunity without opposition.

My ban message looked like this:

You have been permanently banned from participating in r/Bitcoin. You can still view and subscribe to r/Bitcoin, but you won't be able to post or comment.

I did not mention any other coin once, nor big blocks or any other thing that might be banable.

The lesson, beware of censored subs, the opinions are skewed to one side without looking like total censorship

Thread got locked but is visible now. Unfortunately I did not count how many posts where made between the reopening and the locking.

Also more posts are getting deleted. Seems like the first mod was too timid and bashco took over.
