SmartBCH validators question
I asked this question in the SmartBCH Community Telegram Group (https://t.me/smartbch_community) but I think it's too noisy so no one bothered to reply. Is there any suitable place for SmartBCH technical questions out there?
Anywho....
I'm wondering how the validators is currently chosen and could be identified as voted on by specific miners. According to the docs (https://docs.smartbch.org/smartbch/developers-guide/staking) a miner needs this output in the coinbase tx:
It begins with the "OP_RETURN" opcode
The pushed value after OP_RETURN is a 37-byte string, in which the starting 5 bytes are 0x73, 0x42, 0x43, 0x48 and 0x0, and the ending 32 bytes are an ed25519 public key, which is used to identify a node in tendermint
Looking at the transactions, like this one for instance https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/address/d-77aac69069533167a286ed01a6ac3168 that is in the coinbase for block 705,687 I can see this string:
OP_RETURN 7342434800fc609736388585e77dc106885dd401b1dab7be87e61a3597239db9d0483e9a46
Clearly ViaBTC wants the validator with the public key fc609736388585e77dc106885dd401b1dab7be87e61a3597239db9d0483e9a46 to produce blocks on SmartBCH.
The part I don't get is when a SmartBCH block like this one: https://www.smartscan.cash/block/739378 has a Validator field: 0x930C23CE7536B0ede6AfE7754134d4011217D6AA which is only 20 bytes.
Can anyone explain what I'm missing? Is there any way to go from a block (as viewed on a block explorer like smartscan.cash) to know which BCH miners that voted on that specific validator?
