strict bitcoin only questions?

I came across this subreddit and bitcoinbeginners subreddit which I thought were great subreddits as a beginner in the cryptocurrency area based on the subreddit description but they say only bitcoin related questions. i know it says r/ btc, but is just cryptocurrency (both bitcoin and altcoin) related questions and how to securely trade questions allowed to be posted here?
