Stuck in 0 Confirmations hell

I tried transferring my BTC to an exchange to sell and I didn't set the fee high enough (seriously these fees right now..). RBF was opt-in and I didn't opt in, and I forgot my passphrase for my wallet so I can't load it in Electrum and try to double spend with a higher fee to push it though.

It's been an entire day, I've read a bit and saw conflicting reports. Some articles say it just stays stuck until it eventually clears, which could be weeks. And a few articles say after 72 hours it will drop out of the mempool and return to my wallet.

I know it's my fault for forgetting the passphrase, but if you are into BTC don't bother with Samurai wallet. It's one of many issues I've had with it.

Losing a lot of money now that it's plummeting atm, but I've kinda just accepted that part now. But it would extremely infuriating to lose everything because it's stuck with a low fee and might not ever be confirmed.
