Technical question: Why doesn't any BCH wallet allow you to add MEMO messages to your transactions?

I figured it would be easy for the bitcoin.com wallet to add this feature? Isn't it just an op_code or whatever? If the protocol allows us to write dumb stuff on the blockchain then why isn't it easy?
