The core problem with bitcoin

culture is cult like HODL (hold on for dear life) however if it is to be a currency you need to SPEND it. So what we have is a stagnant internet based asset that no one wants to spend and most vendors don't accept. You can't stop by a gas station and buy nachos with bitcoin. Why would you anyway? That would be like going to buy some food and paying with Apple stock! It's effectively useless from a currency perspective - it's a speculative stock.
