The minimum amount of Bitcoin that makes sense buying is proportional to fees. As fees increase, you price out buyers. What is the minimum amount a user should buy if ONE transaction to transfer the coins is $50USD? BTC is a dead end.

That is why /r/bitcoin wants you to forget, "not your keys, not your coins".
