Tipping many people at once via Chaintip
Okay so I've been tipping a bit lately and for each tip I had been copy/pasting the address from my inbox into electron cash and then enter an amount for the tip and hit send. Then repeat for the next tip... It's somewhat time consuming. going back and forth and confirming all the steps...
Today I learned what Pay to Many is.
Electron Cash -> Tools -> Pay to Many.
You simply paste a list of BCH addresses, a comma, and the amount for each address.
For example:
bitcoincash:qrelay2cvnv6ckjy8yf0s0fp6uxedj86jczhnpekdu, 0.00142069 bitcoincash:qrelay2jvmpe43grnhl6dnach62znfglas5lrgssjv, 0.00142069 bitcoincash:qrelay2sh3usj3n0guy724l0ww2etj9srvzlksn0mv, 0.00142069 bitcoincash:qrelay2w7d7p93lcyf3lvzwpxn3c6z2wvu5ssc3vcm, 0.00142069
That will send about $1 usd to each address in one tx. Everyone will get their tips.
So, what I do is: Mention u/chaintip on reddit to send say, 20 tips, then I go to my unread messages and copy the entire page. I paste that into a text file and run a grep for 'qrelay'. I then use a regexp in BBedit to remove everything except the address and also add the amount i want to send. Paste that block of text into the Pay to Many transaction and Electron Cash does the rest.
I think I will make a web service to do this. It would make mass onchain tipping much easier.
