Bitcoin was supposed to help the unbanked, but now BTC is also adding the requirement of signing up for an exchange to use BTC for everyday things.
I am now convinced that for a cryptocurrency to be worthwhile, it has to be spendable without the need to go through an exchange and then a bank and then a withdraw.
This is not to say the early adopters of BTC will not make tons of profit - but BTC will be shown in the long-term to be useless for the usecase it was meant for.
