What is the best way to stack my BTC in the safest way?

Seeing the price of BTC at the moment, I would like to start accumulating some as much as possible. However, I am a bit torn about how and where to put them. I would like to avoid exchanges, but I don't know which physical wallet to buy and which one guarantees transparency and security. Any advice?
