What is wrong with BTC?

Just from curiosity because I think the disinformation is a huge thing nowadays - what is wrong with BTC now and what was it before? I read some articles and stuff saying that “the Bitcoin code is hijacked by *****” and other conspiracy theories.

Just looking for opinions and blogs to read, because the whole crypto space is really interesting for me to read and learn about.
