Why there will always be BTC negativity here and why that's okay

r/btc is the premier bitcoin-centric sub where you can actually speak your mind (no censorship of opinions). As people recognize the censorship and harmful group-think of the BTC community, they are naturally drawn here. What do you think they are going to do when they get here?

Think about other communities that cater to those who are coming out of narrow group-think. If people are no longer happy as a Mormon, Jehovah's Witness, Scientologist, or whatever, they are going to need to process their thoughts and feelings among a thoughtful group of like-minded people who have been there and "get it". Therefore, subs for people that used to belong to certain communities are always going to have seemingly-repetitive and "negative" posts about the things they used to believe in.

That's why, in r/btc, where people can feel free to speak their mind, there will always be posts about how dumb BTC and the BTC community is. This is healthy. People need to process what they're going through. Does it mean that every member of r/btc is constantly angry about the BTC coin and community? No. It just means that we get it and we know the pain.

So give people a break. Let them process their feelings. And if a certain post isn't your thing, keep scrolling.
